God’s Nature

Omniscient
God knows everything and His knowledge is complete. Isaiah 40:28; Job 37:16; Psalm 147:5; 1 John 3:20; Romans 11:33; Deut. 5:24; Deut. 7:21; Deut. 11:2; Genesis 16:11-14; Psalm 139:7-12; Genesis 17:1-3; 48:3; 49:25 Genesis 35:11; Psalm 90:2.
Omnipotent
God is able to bring to pass everything that He chooses. He has no external limitations. Job 42:2; Genesis 18:14; Matt. 22:31, 32; Mark 1:15; Mark 10:27; Mark 12:24; Acts 10:40; Acts 15:12; 1Cor. 15:57; 2Cor. 6:7; Genesis 1:1, 27; Mark 10:6, 9; Acts 4:24; Acts 17:24; Genesis 1:1-3 Deuteronomy 10:17 Psalm 6; Mark 13:19; Genesis 17:1-3; 48:3; 49:25 Genesis 35:11; Psalm 90:2
Omnipresent
God’s omnipresence speaks to the fact that He is present in all places at all times. Proverbs 15:3; Jeremiah 23:23, 24; Psalm 139:7-12; Genesis 16:11-14; Psalm 139:7-12; Genesis 16:11-14; Psalm 139:7-12; Genesis 17:1-3; 48:3; 49:25 Genesis 35:11; Psalm 90:2
Immutable
By nature, God is absolutely unchanging. For this reason, the attributes He possessed before the creation of the world are the same ones He has today. Psalm 90: Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8; Deut. 32:4; Rom. 8:3; Isaiah 7:14; 8:8-10; Matthew 1:23; Exodus 3:14; Exodus 6:2-4; Exodus 34:5-7; Psalm 102
Holy
Though all the attributes of God are important and dependent on one another, the fact of God’s holiness seems to be the one He wishes us to put emphasis upon. Psalm 99:9; Habakkuk 1:13; Rom. 8:3; Deut. 32:4; Rom. 8:3
Righteous
God’s holiness is manifested in His righteousness. Because He is holy, He is righteous. Psalm 116:5; Ezra 9:15; Exodus 9:23-27; Psalm 129:4; 145:17; Jeremiah 12:1; 1 John 1:9; Deut. 32:4; Matt. 6:33; Rom. 1:17; Rom. 8:3; 2Cor. 6:7; Deut. 32:4; Rom. 8:3;
Sovereign
God’s sovereignty is how He rules His creation. This is what makes Him free to do what He knows is best for us. Deut. 32:4; Romans 1:24, 2:2; Rom. 2:3; Rom. 8:3; Rom. 11:33; Gal. 6:7; Psalm 8; Isaiah 40:3-5 Ezekiel 16:8; Habakkuk 3:19; Ex 3:1-6, 13:21-22
Love
If there is one attribute that people love to embrace, it is the fact that God is love. This word encapsulates for us His mercy, grace and loving-kindness. 1 John 4; Deut. 7:9; Rom. 5:5; Rom. 5:8; Rom. 11:22; Eph. 2:4; 1Jn. 4:16; Deut. 11:12; Matt.6:30; Luke 8:39; Rom. 11:22; 1Cor. 10:13; 2Cor. 7:6
Merciful
God’s mercy has been defined as God not giving us what we deserve. Ephesians 2:4; Romans 5:8; Deuteronomy 4:3; Psalm 103:8; Luke 15; Luke 18:13; Eph. 2:4; Exo 23:25; Deut. 11:27; Exo 23:25.
God is One & Trinity
While God is one, He manifests Himself in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. In the Old Testament often the plural form of the Hebrew word God is used when speaking about Him (Elohim). Matthew 3:16, 17; Matthew 28; John 14; Romans 1:7; Hebrews 1:8; Acts 5:3, 4; Mark 12:29; Acts 17:24; Gal. 3:20; Deut. 6:4-9; Genesis 1:1-3 Deuteronomy 10:17 Psalm 6 Mark 13:19
